A demonstration of creating a simple chakra logo.

CONCEPT

“Chakra” (circle) first emerge within the “Vedas” text the most authoritative Hindu text. The concept behind this logo is the state of the life i.e the birth, learning life sessions and ultimately the death, so i took the the three circles and created this swirl mark using golden ratio to represent the process of life lessions in the simplest form possible. It’s a bit of hard to know the meaning of this logo as i wanted it to be like that for my next brand mark so whatever you have and in this world watch and learn through your perspective and learn from it because “what you are, you are here for purpose”.

The Panchakarma Ayurvedic Cleanse Treatment is a staple of Traditional Indian Medicine, long renowned for its powerful healing properties. The Ayurvedic Pancha Karma therapy treatment is made up of several distinct parts, but in this video specifically, we participated in Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Nasya, Shiro-Abhyanga-Nasya, Pinda Swedana, and Basti (the Batsi is not in the video for obvious reasons)

I am so thankful that I was able to participate in such a helpful series of the Ayurvedic Pancha Karma Therapy Cleanse Treatment. Before arriving in Jaipur, I had very little knowledge of Ayurveda or Ayurvedic Medicines or the process of Ayurveda Panchakarma Therapy, but after experiencing the Panchakarma treatment, I felt the urge to share these techniques and my experience, in hope to lead others to wellness through these Eastern Medicine Practices!

CONCEPT

Panchakarma treatments are the five-fold Ayurveda cleansing therapies which get to the root cause of the problem and eliminate the deep-seated toxic metabolites (Ama) from the body thereby restoring the equilibrium of the doshas and promoting healthy tissues.

Just like a tree has to be destroyed completely by uprooting it, diseases have to be cured completely by cleansing toxins from the body by Ayurveda Panchakarma treatments, otherwise, there will be a recurrence of the disease again and again.

Dipesh Chakrabarty, the Lawrence A. Kimpton Distinguished Service Professor of History, South Asian Languages and Civilizations, and the College at the University of Chicago and author of “The Climate of History in a Planetary Age,” participated in a conversation led by Joseph Campana, the Alan Dugald McKillop Professor of English at Rice University and director of the Center for Environmental Studies. The discussion was part of “Cultures of Energy: New Directions in Energy Humanities,” a May 27-28, 2021, symposium sponsored by the Center for Environmental Studies, with support from the Humanities Research Center in the School of Humanities.

Discussion participants also included Rice University’s Cymene Howe, professor of anthropology and Randal L. Hall, the William P. Hobby Professor of American History, both of whom are members of the Center for Environmental Studies faculty steering committee.
